About

The Oregon Eastern Railroad (reporting mark OERR) is a short-line freight railroad based in Vale, Oregon , operating on about 24–27 miles of track between Ontario and Vale/Celatom in eastern Oregon. It connects with the Union Pacific Railroad at Ontario and serves local industries—including EP Minerals, agricultural suppliers, propane, and urea shippers—while also offering railcar storage and transload services . Originally part of a Union Pacific branch and later operated by the Wyoming Colorado Railroad, the line was acquired in 2020 by Jaguar Transport Holdings and continues to provide “last-mile” freight service that links regional customers to the national rail network. In addition, Jaguar recently acquired a 300 acre site in Nyssa, OR for further industrial development that also has over 11,000 feet of existing track.
