See what is represented in a freight market.

Start with a city, state, region, or freight market to explore the companies, facilities, transportation, and services represented there.

Location answers what is represented here, not who serves every shipment here. Entity location, service area, and headquarters are different.

Know what you are looking at

A company and a freight facility are not the same thing.

One company may operate multiple freight locations, and one location may have relationships with several companies, railroads, or service providers. Commtrex keeps the entities distinct so the directory can show the right information in the right context.

Shared names, addresses, or geography do not make separate entities interchangeable.

Freight directory FAQ

Searching the freight ecosystem

What can I find in the Commtrex Freight Directory?

The directory helps users discover freight companies, facilities, transportation entities, service providers, and infrastructure represented across Commtrex. Available entity types depend on the data represented in the platform.

Is every company in the directory a Commtrex customer?

No. Directory inclusion does not by itself mean a company is a customer, partner, member, verified provider, or endorsed company.

Is a company the same as a facility?

No. A company is an organization. A facility is a physical operating location. One company may operate multiple facilities, and the entities remain distinct.

Does a provider listed in a location serve the entire area?

Not necessarily. A provider's physical location and represented service area are different. Service coverage should not be inferred from location alone.

Does a listed service mean capacity is available?

No. A represented service or capability does not establish current capacity or availability for a specific shipment or project.

Is a freight facility the same as an industrial property?

No. An operating freight facility and an industrial property are separate Commtrex entities, even when they refer to the same physical location or site.

What is the difference between the Directory and Network?

The Directory is designed to help users find specific entities and categories. The Network adds geographic and relationship context around freight infrastructure, transportation, facilities, and providers.

How do I find actual capacity?

Use the supported Commtrex capacity workflow to describe the freight requirement, location, timing, and relevant service needs.
