It connects with the <span data-start="266" data-end="292" style="">Union Pacific Railroad</span>, allowing UP to serve local shippers and facilitating freight movement in this key <span data-start="376" data-end="404" style="">multimodal logistics hub</span> near the Mississippi River and major interstates. The line was rebuilt and upgraded with federal TIGER grant funding to modern rail standards, enabling car storage and the handling of commodities such as <span data-start="609" data-end="670" style="">steel, propane, and hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals</span>.
