The West Memphis Base Railroad (WMBR) is a short-line freight railroad in West Memphis, Arkansas , operating roughly 3 miles of branch track that primarily serves the Port of West Memphis and surrounding industrial customers. It connects with the Union Pacific Railroad , allowing UP to serve local shippers and facilitating freight movement in this key multimodal logistics hub near the Mississippi River and major interstates. The line was rebuilt and upgraded with federal TIGER grant funding to modern rail standards, enabling car storage and the handling of commodities such as steel, propane, and hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals . The railroad also supports adjacent transloading services that link rail with truck and water transport options, enhancing flexibility for diverse freight needs in the region. WMBR is part of the broader Jaguar Transport Holdings network of short lines
