A successful transloading operation is required to be highly orchestrated due to the various moving pieces. Generally, the transloading process still relies on manual labor. Do you foresee more technological innovation in the near future?
Technology underpins everything we do at TRANSFLO and it will be integral as the transloading industry continues to evolve. Given the nature of certain commodities, manual labor will still be a necessity but there are functions that may be streamlined with technology. For example, TRANSFLO’s terminals recently started using the Intermodal Driver Database (IDD) which verifies a driver’s identity before they can enter our terminals.
