What are the top 3 legislative issues that will be critical for rail for the next administration? (Richard Stroot)

Richard Stroot

I see a dramatic shift from less regulation to an administration anxious to go back to the previous Biden days focused on more rulemaking and regulation especially on the labor front:

  1. Potential to mandate 2 person crews.
  2. Emission standards on locomotives.
  3. Passenger rail, return to the LaHood era of “If you don’t comply on Amtrak, we will buy you.”

We are shifting from a Pro-business to a Pro, not sure.
