The key to growth is in clear and concise communication on all aspects of rail transportation to attract new clients. Clients that are both familiar and unfamiliar with rail have a need for consistent visibility regarding the status of their shipments, ETA’s on specific carloads, and which cars will deliver which products.
We have a new customer who was more concerned about their products becoming lost in the “black hole” of the rail network and losing sight of their supply chain than they were of any other aspect of the process. We worked closely with them to provide continuous, accurate updates on specific carloads for the first few shipments to work through the steep learning curve of the process.
Adapting modern and automated communication tools is a key component of recapturing growth.
