Hurricane Harvey has affected everyone in the Gulf Region over the last few days, and Commtrex is deeply saddened by the devastation. We have all witnessed many people lose their homes and businesses, and yet we are watching communities come together in the aftermath of this storm.
Due to the floods and storm damage, we have received an influx of requests for rail asset storage and railcar repair services. We have experienced a 400% increase in Storage Requests alone, and it is apparent that rail-related needs are beginning to surface. It is our hope to use the Commtrex platform to help connect both members and non-members with essential rail business during this difficult time. The Commtrex Exchange is fully operational. It is hosted in the Microsoft Azure Cloud, so service has been uninterrupted and continues to update in real-time.
We are dedicated in our efforts to help commodity shippers with routing, storage, and asset availability/repair. So, for those providing relief to the rail industry, we are now offering free Listing updates on the Exchange.
