Hurricane Harvey has affected everyone in the Gulf Region over the last few days, and Commtrex is deeply saddened by the devastation. We have all witnessed many people lose their homes and businesses, and yet we are watching communities come together in the aftermath of this storm.
Due to the floods and storm damage, we have received an influx of requests for rail asset storage and railcar repair services. We have experienced a 400% increase in Storage Requests alone, and it is apparent that rail-related needs are beginning to surface. It is our hope to use the Commtrex platform to help connect both members and non-members with essential rail business during this difficult time. The Commtrex Exchange is fully operational. It is hosted in the Microsoft Azure Cloud, so service has been uninterrupted and continues to update in real-time.
We are dedicated in our efforts to help commodity shippers with routing, storage, and asset availability/repair. So, for those providing relief to the rail industry, we are now offering free Listing updates on the Exchange. If you are interested in donating, as well as reaching businesses in the rail industry, purchase an upgraded Storage Listing or Services Listing by September 10, 2017. 100% of those payments will be donated to the American Red Cross Texas Gulf Coast Region.
Your services can help other companies in need. If you have been considering promoting your services on The Exchange, please don’t wait any longer.
We have great faith in our Houston community and have been heartened to see so many people pull together to help others. Now we begin the work of recovery. Commtrex currently has over 18,000 Railcar Assets, 75,000 Storage Spaces, and 1,100 Services Providers listed within The Exchange—all ready to help companies in need.
We hope you will partner with us in our goal to help get things back on track, by connecting people in need across the industry.
